Spidaman
Cross River State born musician and entertainer, Omin Nyong, better known as Spidaman, working with a few others is set to launch a programme christened “The Fiesta”, an initiative designed to sensitize residents of 8 Miles, Calabar to collectively work at stamping out a spate of cult related killings that have recently been a way of life in the community. Additionally, Nyong hopes to use the initiative to plead too that young people in the area shun drugs use.

Nyong who spoke to www.calitown.com in the course of preparations for the programme, informed that he felt challenged to do something about the recurrent spate of killings in the area that have virtually brought business and social life to a standstill. He added that this unfortunate situation must be brought under control, considering that the area has always had the reputation of being one of the very secure areas in Calabar.

The occasion is slated to hold at the Cross River Basin Authority field, 8 Miles, Calabar, from mid day to 6pm tomorrow, January 2, 2017. “Lots of fabulous prizes are up for grabs and a VIP table for four will sell for N10, 000 (thousand naira only)”, he again disclosed.
