CR FIFA Referee’s W/Cup Hopes Hang In The Balance

Posted on February 10, 2014 By Admin No Comments on CR FIFA Referee’s W/Cup Hopes Hang In The Balance

Unless something miraculous happens, Cross River State born FIFA referee, Peter Edibi, widely touted to make the final cut of referees to officiate at the World Cup in Brazil, may have lost the seemingly  once in a lifetime chance to officiate at the Mundial to boardroom politics, calitown.com can reveal.

On the line frrom Abuja to calitown.com, Edibi informed that, he is at a loss at the development, considering “that my teammates have been selected for the World Cup” and he felt that “if my teammates made the cut, even though it is becoming difficult by the day, I am believing in God that He will see me through”.

Edibi was reluctant to tell calitown.com what factors may be working against him at the national level, preferring instead to take the situation calmly while he continues in his efforts to make the cut. It is a development calitown.com will follow to a logical conclusion.
