An injured Ekpo.

Felix Ekpo, the Cross River State athlete who won a Gold and two Silver medals in the weight lifting  Snatch and Clean and Jerk events, sustained a muscle tear in his last attempt, today, technically ending his participation in the sports fiesta.

Orok Otu Duke, Chairman of the Cross River State Sports Council, who posted the sad news on his Facebook wall, expressed sadness at the injury to Ekpo in these words, “We are happy and sad…wishing Felix …quick recovery.”
