Posted on March 17, 2018 By Admin No Comments on CR: Kidnapped Assembly Man’s Wife Regains Freedom
Nseobong Nelson Ofem, the kidnapped wife of Nelson Ofem, member representing Yakurr I State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, has been released, www.calitown.com can reveal.

She was released late Friday night after several days in captivity. We also gathered that her family had to part with a colossal sum of money believed to be in the region of N10 million after her kidnappers had initially demanded for a whooping N100 million as ransome. Close family sources also revealed to www.calitown.com that the victim was taken to the creeks through Jebs, Calabar South.

“The kidnappers even bragged to madam that after her release, they will go after other wives of the CRSHA members; right now she is receiving treatment in an undisclosed location because she went through hell” the source again revealed.

Irene Ugbo, the Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State, confirmed the release of the victim and expressed happiness her release was successfully secured.
