CR: PDP Elected House of Assembly Member Defects To APC

Posted on July 3, 2017 By Admin No Comments on CR: PDP Elected House of Assembly Member Defects To APC
Ekom flaunts the APC’s broom to the admiration of party faithfuls

Elucate Okora Ekom, the PDP elected Cross River State House of Assembly, CRSHA, member representing Obubra II State Constituency in the Eight Legislative Assembly, has defected to the APC in what political observers suspect may be one in a series of several high profile defections from the PDP in CRS to come as the political intrigues leading up to the 2019 elections continue to build up.

The decampee who presently chairs the Business & Rules Committee in the CRSHA appears to have bowed to pressure from friends within the APC who prevailed on him to team up with John Owan Enoh, the senator representing CR Central Senatorial District, who recently defected to the APC in suspected acrimonous circumstances, as he goes head to head with state governor, Ben Ayade and the PDP in what promises to be an interesting political battle for the soul of the central senatorial district and Enoh’s political survival.

While he was not readily available to speak with www.calitown.com, sources in Obubra maintain over the telephone that “our man is a progressive and has gone to where he belongs. Even if Owan Enoh had not decamped, he would have made this move out of personal conviction”. But one widely held believe by PDP apologists in the area is that “…the man knows that he is of minimal electoral value and knows he cannot win any election here again. Forseeing this shameful future, he has gone to join his shameless band of friends who pursue only a personal agenda and leave out the people. Bet me, he won’t go far”, one source said.
