C’River APC May Charge Aspirants Huge Fees For 2024 C’River LG Elections

Posted on September 20, 2024 By Admin No Comments on C’River APC May Charge Aspirants Huge Fees For 2024 C’River LG Elections

Barring any last minute changes, competent All Progressives Congress, APC, sources in Cross River State, have informed www.calitown.com that the party is set to charge huge fees for Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for aspirants in local government elections scheduled to hold before the end of 2024, in the state.

N15m and N6m, may be paid by chairmanship and councillorship aspirants for the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms. A breakdown suggests that N6m will be charged APC chairmanship aspirants for the Expression of Interest form, while the Nomination form will cost a whopping N10m, bringing the total amount to N15m. Councillorship aspirants will cough out N1m for the Expression of Interest form and another N5m for the Nomination form.

Pointing to this ridiculously high figures for aspirants, one source insisted to us that “these fees are not high. Those who pay simply demonstrate the level of their preparedness and all manner of persons will know that the job is not for all manner of persons.” Hordes of persons in the party, have their political ambitions to function at the third-tier of government, even before the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission, CROSIEC, makes Electoral guidelines and a timetable for elections, available.

There however is hope that these huge figures have not received the blessing of the governor and stakeholders, who are yet to convene and give a nod to these figures
