C’River: Forum Of LG Chairmen Insist Embattled APC State Chairman Must Go

Posted on December 22, 2025December 22, 2025 By Admin No Comments on C’River: Forum Of LG Chairmen Insist Embattled APC State Chairman Must Go
Inyang, Chairman of the forum.

The Forum of Local Chairmen in Cross River State, has written to the Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, insisting that embattled CRS APC Chairman, Alphonsus Eba, be immediately suspended from the party.

In a letter dated December 22, 2025, signed by Yibala Igri Inyang, Chairman of the forum and all remaining 17 Council Chairmen in the state, the forum insisted that, “the call for suspension is predicated on the egregarious violation of Article 21 of the APC Constitution, which explicitly says that members are prohibited from filing actions in a court of law against the party or any of its officials on matters relating to the discharge of the party’s duties without first exhausting all available avenues of redress provided for in the party’s constitution.”

“By instituting legal proceedings without adhering to the party’s internal dispute resolution mechanisms, Eba has demonstrated a blatant disregard for the party’s rules and regulations”, the forum insisted.

Insider APC sources in the state maintained to www.calitown.com, that “there will be no reprieve for Eba. He has talked himself into a path of no return and demonstrated too much flight power when he has no wings. To think he can take on a sitting governor, wielding an indefatigable political war chest is suicidal. He, Eba is the definite loser in the end”, one source who pleaded anonymity, told us.

When we spoke exclusively with Eba, late last week, he maintained that he will chase justice, while he bears no one any grudges. “We are in court for now and that has to be respected”, he insisted.
