The Cross River State Police Command in a press release, signed by Irene Ugbo, a Superintendent of Police and Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Cross River State, has informed the general public that Gyogon Augustine Grimah, a Commissioner of Police, has today, 23rd October, 2024, officially resumed duty as the 46th Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command.

CP Grimah, who recently served as the 44th Commissioner of Police in the Command before his redeployment to Kaduna State Command, has been redeployed back to Cross River State to continue steering the affairs of the Command after the redeployment of Ukachi .P. Opara, a CP, as the 45th Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command.

In his inaugural address shortly resumption, Grimah expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for giving him the opportunity to serve once again in Cross River State. 

He reiterated his unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens in the state, pledging to strengthen efforts towards combating crime and maintaining peace and order.

Grimah also called for continued cooperation from members of the public, urging them to remain law-abiding and to provide useful information to the Police to aid in crime prevention and response efforts.

The Command assured all residents of Cross River State of renewed dedication and proactive measures aimed at improving security across the State. She also urged everyone to promptly report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station, or the information boxes at the respective Area Commands/Divisional Police Headquarters, or via the Command Control room number: 07041777060.
