CRS: Epoke Is New Nigerian Medical Association Chairman

Epoke, new CRS NMA Chair.

A Consultant Cardiologist in the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH, Calabar, Ezoke Epoke, has been elected as the new chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Cross River State.

The lone candidate for the position, Epoke was elected unopposed at the Annual General Meeting/Scientific Conference (AGM/SC) of the association, held in Calabar.

Before his election, Epoke had served as president of the Association of Resident Doctors, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, ARD-UCTH, as well as Editor-in-Chief, Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors,NARD. He also served in the past as State Secretary, Nigerian Medical Association Cross River State Branch, NMA CRS.

Epoke in his inaugural speech at the occasion, pledged his commitment to collaborating with all critical stakeholders to advance healthcare delivery in the State and promised to work with all manner of men and women, committed to the growth and development of the health sector in the state.
