101 Unical Graduates Lose NYSC Certificates

Posted on August 12, 2024 By Admin No Comments on 101 Unical Graduates Lose NYSC Certificates

One hundred and one graduates of the University of Calabar, Unical, have lost their National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, certificates after the management of NYSC discovered that the graduates were fraudulently mobilized for service by the university.

A breakdown of the figure shows that 99 students who were mobilized for service during the 2021, 2022 and 2023 service years, fell short of requirements for mobilization while two other graduates, who sought for and were exempted from service, also ran foul of the rules.

A competent source contacted inside the university for comments told www.calitown.com that, “this racket has been there. Now that it has been blown open and the beneficiaries have been shamed, those who patronize these racketeers will begin to have a rethink.”

An official statement was yet to be made by the management of the University, at press time.
