Ebonyi Officials Disrupt Power Supply To C’River

Posted on January 24, 2019 By Admin No Comments on Ebonyi Officials Disrupt Power Supply To C’River

We can authoritatively reveal that officials of the Ebonyi State Government, apparently acting on instructions, have disconnected public power supply to four local government areas in Cross River State.

The local government areas; Abi, Biase, Obubra and Yakurr, have remained without public power supply after power lines running through Abaomege, Ebonyi State, to the local governments in Cross River State, were arbitrarily disconnected to make way for the construction of an overhead bridge in Abaomege.

Sources within the electricity distribution firm informed www.calitown.com that the disconnection “was done without any courtesy. Please let Cross River State government do something about electricity supply from Biase to Obanliku by providing 132KV lines to Ugep, Ikom, Ogoja and Obudu to stop this marginalization and ill treatment from Ebonyi and Benue States”.

Affected electricity consumers in the LGAs have complained that while electricity supply to the area has not been constant, outright disconnection from the national grid is a misnomer.
