We have confirmed from very close sources that Esther Bassey, Chairperson of Calabar South Local Government Area, passed on early this morning.

“She was not ill. Yesterday she went for a meeting and came back very healthy, interacted with family, friends and political associates before retiring to bed. Unfortunately, early this morning, we were called and shockingly y informed that she had passed on”, an aide confided in www.calitown.com.
