Mkpani Community, Relief Materials, Yakurr Local Government Area Foremost broadcaster and one-time Special Assistant on Media and Chief Press Secretary to former Cross River State Governor,  Liyel Imoke, Omini Oden, has donated relief materials worth more than N200,000 to the people of Mkpani in Yakurr Local Government Area.

Presenting the relief mterials to the Obol Lopon of Mkpani, Obol Sunday Obono Okoi and members of Mkpani Traditional Rulers’ Council, Oden said the gesture was to assist in ameliorating the current hardship faced by the people as a result of the recent communal clash in the area.

Represented by the State Secretary of the Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oka Ibor, he thanked the Obol Lopon of Mkpani, the Tradional Rulers’ Council and the youth for accepting to embrace peace and lay down their arms.

He called on all Yakurr communities to endeavour to live in peace to fast track the needed development of the entire local government area.
