EXCLUSIVE: Mother Of Murdered Douglas Ojugbo, Speaks Up … Finally Happy!

Mrs Ojugbo

Maria Ojugbo, mother of 22-year old Douglas Ojugbo, murdered on March 10, 2015, by Godwin, Elewana, for which a Calabar High Court yesterday, sentenced Elewana to death by hanging, has exclusively told www.calitown.com, that “I know my son will not come back to life now, but l know and I am happy that wherever he is he will be happy that the man who shot and killed him has finally been convicted and justice has prevailed.”

Ojugbo also informed us “the man thought that throwing around money, was going to subvert justice. You can imagine that he shot and killed my son and then working in connivance with the retired Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of the Federal Housing Police station, Calabar, Mike Ezewerem, hurriedly buried my son in a shallow grave. Which parent can bear this kind of wickedness? I have and serve a living God and that God has faithfully shown Himself.”

Confronted with the fact that the verdict by the court may be appealed by the convict’s legal team, she came clear that her family will persist in prayer and explore all channels to ensure that the verdict stands even to the Supreme Court.

“Our ordeal may help several other persons who are passing through what we have passed through since 2015, to have faith in God and seek justice like we have done”, she concluded.
