Fear Grips CR Broadcast Outfit As Staff Is Kidnapped

Posted on November 28, 2019 By Admin No Comments on Fear Grips CR Broadcast Outfit As Staff Is Kidnapped
The victim, Glory Otu

Fear has continued to envelope staff of the Cross River State Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC, in Calabar, three days after Glory Otu, an Assistant Director in the media outfit, was kidnapped from her home in Calabar by yet to be identified persons.

The fear stems from the fact that Otu, of the corporation’s Monitoring Unit, appears to have been kidnapped like another yet to be found colleague of hers, veteran broadcaster, Petertex Etim, close to her residence. While Etim has still not been found, more than a year after he was abducted, silent prayers are being said in the Corporation that the victim will be released with no harm to her.

“Nobody is safe anymore. You look at us in CRBC and you will see that we are just ordinary persons working to eke out a living. Targeting our staff and kidnapping same is one of the most unfortunate things happening to us. Let God just sit on this case and let nothing happen to her”, one staff of CRBC told www.calitown.com.

Police authorities in Calabar have confirmed the kidnap but volunteered no further information at press time.
