Foremost CR Lawyer, Matthew Ojua Is Dead!

Close family sources have confirmed the death of foremost Abuja based Boki-born lawyer, Matthew Ojua, in a South African hospital, overnight, www.calitown.com can confirm. He is thought to have died after a brief illness.

The Principal partner in the law firm, Matthew Ojua & Co, he studied Law at the University of Nsukka, graduating in 1984 and setting up practice shortly after that in Ikom, Cross River State.
His death has thrown all of Cross River State and his indigenous Boki, especially into mourning. Moving tributes and testimonials are flooding the social media as we report. Particularly, Ojua’s Facebook page has seen a steady stream of friends troop there and express sadness.

Max Ogar, who spoke to www.calitown.com on the line from Abuja in the early hours of Sunday morning, expressed shock over the death and bemoaned it in these words, “our Leader and my benefactor (Matthew OJua, Esq.) departs. God, give us the grace to carry on”, while Francis Agbor, wrote, “Ohhh…I’m so engulfed in grieve…one of the brightest lights on earth is gone…what a world…words can’t quantify your benevolent disposition on earth…it is certain you are dinning with the Lord”.

Burial arrangements will be announced by his family.
