Goddy Agba Shuns CR PDP Gubernatorial Primary

Posted on December 8, 2014 By Admin 1 Comment on Goddy Agba Shuns CR PDP Gubernatorial Primary

pdpWhile the CR PDP gubernatorial primaries is underway with delegates from the 18 local government areas voting, www.calitown.com can confirm that Goddy Jedy Agba pulled out of the primary, several hours ago citing irregularities in the delegate list that is being used for the primary. It is a serious setback for the gubernatorial ambitions of Agba who has engaged the establishment in a tit for tat contest, leading up to this evening’s primary.

Meanwhile, journalists at the venue of the primary have been barred from taking pictures of proceedings or recording the process. Attempts by several journalists at the U.J.Esuene stadium, venue of the primary to take pictures was rebuffed by security personnel drafted to the venue.

At the time of going to press, the exercise was still ongoing and the mammoth crowd of delegates and party faithfuls await the result which appears certain to throw up Ben Ayade as the PDP’s flag bearer. It is however difficult to ascertain if Goddy Agba may exploit the option of running for governor in another party.
