
Cross River State Governor, Bassey Edet Otu, has a message of goodwill to the former leader of Nigeria’s 7th Senate, Victor Ndoma Egba, s Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, on his 69th birthday.
Otu, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, described the former Senate leader as a distinguished scholar and lawyer, elder statesman and nationalist, who has strategically placed Cross River State at the fulcrum of national development.
“Your impeccable credentials and sterling record of service to the state, even at the age of 28 as commissioner, are eloquent testimonies. Your relentless commitment to board and committee assignments has never left anyone in doubt that, as a thoroughbred professional and a son of a distinguished professional and disciplinarian, a better Cross River State and Nigeria is always your priority.”
“A life bencher In the Body of Benchers and a politician who believes humility is your watchword, you have demonstrated the courage and passion that gave birth to this present administration in the state, and this can never be taken for granted.”
He went on to say that, “…while it is our sincere wish and belief that the Almighty God continues to endow you with the requisite knowledge and experience to plan and execute a Cross River State of our dreams, we pray for good health, sound mind, and above all, the grace to be there for us.”
