Reports monitored by www.calitown.com point to the fact that fiery Calabar woman pastor, Helen Ukpabio has come under verbal and written criticism in the United Kingdom for propagating claims that if a child under the age of two screams in the night, cries and is always feverish and deteriorating in health, he or she is a servant of satan.

According to the UK Daily Mail, her religious stands on witchcraft are responsible for the Witchcraft and Human Rights Information Network, the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales as well as the International Human and Ethical Union’s respective letters to the British Home Secretary, Theresa May, campaigning that Ukpabio’s controversial views are “dangerous to children”. The groups further seek to have her “deported under the Immigration Act 1971- on the grounds that her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good.

The campaigners are also pushing that she be banned from preaching or returning to the UK after she completes her current tour of the country.

Ukpabio additional UK sources told www.calitown.com, “has stirred up a serious protest because she seems to; have forgotten that this is not Nigeria where everything goes. If the sanctity of life is not respected in Nigeria, she cannot export that anomaly into this country”. Another campaigner is also reported to have said that “it is important that the UK authorities send a message to the world that branding children or anyone as a witch is beyond the pale”.
