House of Reps Member Approves Free Transportation For Students Travelling To Calabar

Posted on January 9, 2026 By Admin No Comments on House of Reps Member Approves Free Transportation For Students Travelling To Calabar

Students of Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Cross River State, who travelled home for the Christmas and New Year holidays, have great cause to smile as their representative in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Peter Akpanke, has approved the provision of free transportation for students of tertiary institutions within the constituency traveling to Calabar.

Sources within his media organisation told www.calitown.com that this gesture is “in line with his consistent commitment to easing the transportation challenges faced by students”. Specifically, two buses have been allocated to each of the three LGAs within the constituency.

From Obanliku, students are to visit the Sankwala Junction, Amunga, or call 08066533843, for transportation specifics, while students travelling from Obudu, will board their buses at the MRS Fuel Station, Obudu. They can also call 08162574450, for further information. Bekwarra Students will be picked from the Unbeatable Fuel Station, Abuochiche, or call 08168644225.

All vehicles depart for Calabar on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 6:00 am prompt.

Akpanke maintains this initiative once proves, once more, his dedication to the welfare and educational advancement of students across his constituency.
