Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the House of Representative member, representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, today took to his Facebook page to formally declare his intention to seek for a second term in office.
In an apt and straight forward message, Jarigbe stated thus: “After due consultation with the Leadership of our Party, the PDP, I wish to inform our teeming supporters of my intention to vie for the House of Reps Seat for the Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency in the 2019 Elections. We will come out with a Program of activities in a few days. I have started with the purchase of the Data/ Administrative Form for the Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency Seat. I am not oblivious of the fact that my Ogoja People are agitating for the Senate Seat but I can’t take a unilateral decision. We can’t pretend not to know how it works within the PDP Family. Once more, I solicit your support and assure you that my service to the Constituency can only get better by the grace of God.”
While several reactions have trailed this declaration, it does appear from what www.calitown.com has gathered that it will be near impossible to deny this Member of Parliament, MP, a second shot at the House of Reps seat. His performance and massive spread, remain a strong point that will play out in his favour when the votes are counted.
Recall too that when he rolled out his empowerment scheme early in the year in Ogoja, the massive turn out and testimonials recorded by www.calitown.com spoke volumes.
