Maureen Iso

Maureen Omin Iso, the wife of Calabar based realtor, businessman and community leader, Omin Iso, known popularly as Omin I, is making a passionate appeal to the faceless abductors of her husband, to please release him from captivity.

Maureen who spoke exclusively with www.calitown.com, added that the continued captivity of her husband is causing the whole family so much apprehension and pain. “My husband was abducted from the house at Esit Otu village, Ikot Ansa, Calabar Municipality on December 23, 2024. The gateman, house help and elder brother who were around told us that the people came in a Toyota Hilux vehicle, claiming they were security personnel and since then, no phone call has come in or any form of contact making us terribly scared by the day”, she maintained.

Appealing to the world to help find her husband, Maureen who occasionally sobbed as she spoke, debunked word being spread around that her husband may have arranged his own abduction, for pure personal gains. “That is the word and work of his enemies. The same people who want my husband’s land inheritance in Esuk Otu, I must say, are the ones behind this kind of shameful information; I will leave them to God”, she insisted.

At press time, security information on this abduction, which has entered it sixth day, was scarce.
