Akpanke, at the defection ground.

Peter Akpanke, the House of Reps member, who defected to the APC from the PDP, has promised to make his new party in Cross River State, stronger than he met it.

The first time House of Reps from the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, who formally defected from the PDP to the APC, this past Saturday, used the occasion in Obudu, Cross River North, to promise those in attendance that he will do “whatever it takes for the progress of the party in Cross River State.”

Akpanke praised state governor, Bassey Otu, for his leadership and performance so far, pledging loyalty and a clear promise to play his part for the development of the state.

The event which witnessed a large gathering of party big wigs, finally laid to rest several months of consistent talk about his defection.
