Jarigbe Commends Ayade For Not Compromising CRN Senatorial Election

Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade has received high praise and commendation for not compromising the just concluded National Assembly polls, especially the contest for Cross River North Senatorial District, where Ayade contested and lost.

Jarigbe Agom Jarigbo, elected to return to Nigeria’s Senate as the senator representing CRN, who made this commendation in his first official reaction to his stunning victory at last Saturday’s polls, wrote on his verified Facebook page that, “I… appreciate our Principal, my opponent, H. E. Gov. Ben Ayade, who had all the powers to compromise the electoral process, but stayed on the path of honor. He lost out because, it was not his time to have it and not because I am stronger. There is time for everything. As Christians, we are taught that, even Jesus Christ did everything, at the appointed time. He remains our Governor and our Leader. We will always respect him and join hands to move Cross River State forward.”

Overtaken by emotions, Jarigbe also could not “…find words to express my appreciation to the good people of Cross River North Senatorial District. On behalf of my family and my party, I thank the elders of Cross River North, the women, our vibrant youths and all those who stood by us and defended our votes.”

While specifically thanking the people of Cross River North Senatorial District who gave him the mandate to return to the senate, he urged them to see his victory as “divine and we can only give God, the glory.” To the clergy, for their the prayers and constant intercessions, he also expressed gratitude, just like he thanked his party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, “for giving me the opportunity of being their candidate.May God bless all of you.”
