Just In: 2017 Calabar Festival Tree Lighting Holds Later Today

The 2017 Calabar Festival Tree Lighting ceremony,  which officially signals the beginning of the month long Calabar Festival, will take place later this evening at the Millennium Park, Eleven-Eleven round about, Calabar, www.calitown.com has been notified.

Ben Okache, Information Officer in the Cross River State Ministry of Information, who signed a press release to this effect, informed that the ceremony which will be performed by the deputy governor, Ivara Esu, will commence at 8pm. Edu will be assisted by John Gaul Lebo, Speaker of the CRS House of Assembly and Michael Edem, Chief Judge of the state.

Members of the public, we were again informed, have been invited to witness the ceremony.

    Good news from the tree lighting ceremony an indication of full restoration of calabar festival and the best event in Africa..Come walk and dance, shake off the stress of life.
