A free medical outreach to cater to the medical needs of constituents in the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State, will commence on March 25, 2024.

Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the senator representing the district in Nigeria’s Senate, who is sponsoring the outreach, informed www.calitown.com that phase one of the outreach will take place at the Roman Catholic Mission Hospital, Moniaya, Ogoja, catering to the medical needs of constituents from Ogoja, Yala and Bekwarra LGAs, while phase two will hold at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Obudu, dedicated to constituents from Obudu and Obanliku LGAs. Both phases of the programme, he added, will begin on Monday, March 25 and run through to Saturday, March 30, 2024. The outreach commences at eight in the morning on each day.

Specifically, there will be free surgeries for constituents diagnosed with hernia, appendicitis and lipoma. Furthermore, medical specialists will for free, conduct tests like kidney and liver function tests, lipid profile, hepatitis screening, malaria tests and blood pressure checks, among others.

“I have ensured too that buses will be on the ground throughout the duration of this exercise, to convey the sick to the two hospitals where our medical teams will be working”, Jarigbe told us.
