Ndoma-Egba Buries Wife December 12th, 2020

Posted on December 1, 2020 By Admin 2 Comments on Ndoma-Egba Buries Wife December 12th, 2020
Late Amaka Ndoma-Egba

With a heavy heart but with total submission to the will of God, I announce the sudden death of my dear wife Mrs. Amaka Lauretta Onono Ndoma-Egba in a ghastly motor accident which claimed many lives on the Ore- Okititipupa road on Thursday November 19, 2020.

She was born in Warri on the 29th of May, 1966 to the family of Late Chief Thomas and Ugochukwutubelu Ethel Onono of Obikporo village in Onitsha, Anambra State. She attended the All Saints Primary School and Federal Government College both in Onitsha. Amaka earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in French and a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), both from the University of Calabar.

Beyond being an entrepreneur and a school owner, Amaka was the ultimate wife in every sense, a mother who strongly believed in family values and mutual respect. She was indeed a pillar to the Ndoma-Egba and Onono families, her friends and everyone who came in contact with her. She was an epitome of love, charity, kindness, friendship, loyalty and hospitality.

As an entrepreneur, she thrived on challenging the status quo by learning and exploring new frontiers. She went through Entrepreneurial Management Studies at the Pan-Atlantic University, and was an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, Boston. She was an active member of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administration of Nigeria.

Mrs. Amaka Ndoma-Egba started her career with Union Bank where she demonstrated not only an interest but a serious commitment to excellence in quality service delivery. Her dedication and attention to details were also expressed in her results all through her service years at Metropolitan Merchant Bank, Icon Merchant Bank, Standard Trust Bank, Diamond Bank and Digital Bridge Institute, Abuja, where she subsequently worked until she went into private business.

She was a successful entrepreneur, educationist and school owner, committed to creating value for Nigeria and indeed, the world at large through quality education. With a glowing passion for children and a strong belief that education is the foundation for human and physical development, she founded Start-Rite Schools, Abuja. She believed that a bright and secure future was dependent on children’s exposure to, not just education, but learning experiences that shaped them to be relevant and productive citizens/leaders who would be actively involved in making the world a better place.

She was the quintessence of passion, perseverance, faith and strength in a woman; one who consistently demonstrated daring pursuits in building her brand. She had an exceptional understanding of visionary/inspirational leadership guided by values which she held strongly, including professionalism, responsibility, integrity, diligence and excellence. Her protégés were consistently motivated to aspire for results that were beyond their perceived boundaries of possibilities and to exert themselves to the limits of their endowment. As a devout Catholic, whose tenets were rooted in God, love of all, service to the Almighty and mankind, her generosity and commitment to charity knew no limits. She also generously supported her faith.

Left to mourn her demise are the children, Barr. Hugo Bassey and Nneoma Ndoma-Egba, Zara, Kamy, her grandchild Adaora, her many adopted children, the Ndoma-Egbas and Onono families, her very many friends and a host of others she impacted on.
