Nnaji’s Rising Political Profile, Reason For The Media Attack

Posted on October 6, 2025October 6, 2025 By Admin No Comments on Nnaji’s Rising Political Profile, Reason For The Media Attack

Nnaji

The fast rising political profile of the Hon. Minister of Science and Technology,  Uche Geoffery Nnaji, is causing sleepless nights for political gladiators, particularly those in the Enugu State House who seem desperate to destroy anyone they perceive to be a threat to their principal’s second term ambition.

Recall that the Hon. Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Geoffery Nnaji was the APC governorship flag bearer in Enugu in the 2023 gubernatorial election. While the elections have been over and he has moved on with his political career resulting in Mr. President appointing him as Minister of Science and Technology, the governor seems to be haunted by his own past and fear of his political future.

The recent sponsored attacks on the Hon. Minister of Science and Technology, are to say the least, unnecessary and in bad taste. This is politics taken too far. He is trying to impugn the glittering character of the Hon. Minister.

The sponsored media attack on the Hon. Minister is no less than character-assassination. For a matter that is already in court, can’t they wait for the courts to decide before launching unnecessary media campaigns aimed at smearing the reputation of the Hon. Minister?

It is obvious that all of the recent attacks on the person of the Hon. Minister are part of the joggling for the Enugu State Government House ahead of the 2027 guber elections.

The fear is some quarters is that the Hon. Minister is performing to the satisfaction of Mr. President and since they do not have any other way of discrediting him, they have resorted to cheap blackmail.

While his political opponents are free to campaign but they should not cross the lines by launching a campaign of calumny against  Uche Geoffery Nnaji.

Nnaji is a bona fide graduate of Department of Microbiology, University of Nigeria Nsukka in the 1985 Graduating Class.
