Okuku Community in Yala LGA, Cross River North, is up in flames after youths in the area brought down the palace of the clan head, HRH Ogamode Odaji Ipuole, over allegations that the royal father was behind the victimization and arrest of some community members.

Reports monitored from the area say, this past Tuesday, a large number of protesting youths from the area, had marched to the palace to register their displeasure at the arrests. Unable to have access to the traditional ruler, the restive youths brought down the palace, chasing the traditional ruler away. At the time of this report, security agents were yet to arrive the scene of the carnage.
