‘Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again’ Comes To Calabar

Posted on December 20, 2014 By Admin No Comments on ‘Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again’ Comes To Calabar

IMG_20141219_164207This Sunday, December 21, 2014, at the Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel, Goldwire Productions, a theatre company operating from out of Calabar will stage Ola Rotimi’s “Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again”, in two shows, one at 3pm and the second show at 8pm.

Bassey Ekpo Bassey and Archie Sam, the brains behind the production told www.calitown.com that the stage play promises a harvest of entertainment and relaxation considering that Ola Rotimi uses the play to take a “comic swipe at ideological misfits and opportunists who strut the ever-accommodating political landscape of contemporary Africa”. In the play, a former military Major, takes to politics with motives that have more to do with vanity than patriotism. His attempts to adapt to a situation he hardly comprehends produce highly comic results while his predicament is complicated by the unexpected arrival of his American wife who discovers two more marriages contracted without her knowledge and her husband beset by political problems.

The gate fee is N1000 flat.
