“PDP Cannot Win Everything In CR Again” – LP Source Insists

Posted on January 22, 2015 By Admin 1 Comment on “PDP Cannot Win Everything In CR Again” – LP Source Insists

index(2)The Labour Party in Cross River State which circumstantially has become the opposition party is insisting that unlike in past elections where the ruling PDP effortlessly swept all elective positions, the elections, beginning in 22 days will demonstrate that a lot has changed in the politics of the state, www.calitown.com has been told.

In a phone conversation lasting 25 minutes, a source in the party is pointing Cross Riverians “to the credible candidates that the LP has put forth. You can see that Fidelis Ugbo is part of those who are insisting that CR cannot be sold. He is seasoned and credible and will help take back our state from these hawks and give this state an assured future. See how places like the Summit Hills, Calabar Media City as well as the Tinapa Knowledge City have been used as a conduit pipe to cart away huge sums of state funds. When Donald Duke was leaving, he left a reserve fund behind, but this administration is leaving a huge debt behind, has phantom projects and is more interested in pushing one man’s agenda through”.

The source went on to say that, “they have promised Jake Otu Enya the position of Secretary to the State Government, over and above the House of Assembly seat that he wanted; one that he was brazenly prevented from getting because as a third-term legislator, it will be difficult for them to push him aside and pick John Gaul Lebo that MST be Speaker of the CRS House of Assembly by any means necessary. These people just operate like God and forget that they have limitations as individuals; let them come to the field and you will see how the common man will break their hearts with his votes”.

On the recent mob attack on the convoy of the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, Ben Ayade, in Ikom, while on a courtesy visit to Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, hear our source; “they say Victor is not good enough to return, but Owan Enoh can move from the House of Assembly here, to the House of Reps and then the Senate in record time. These are the injustices that Imoke perpetrates and our party now benefits because we are more determined than ever to show him and his acolytes that, CRS has been a one man show for too long and the real people on the streets must take back their state with a wise vote for all Labour Party candidates, indeed, government must change hands”.

“We can see the PDP holding political rallies all over the state, just like we can also see that the crowds are rented, what they don’t know is that Cross Riverians are waiting to take their own pound of flesh, especially in certain places where they are fielding bedridden candidates for Senatorial elections and presenting their posters to the people as a candidate. How can you show a poster where somebody who wants to serve the people should be standing? Something is about to happen”, the source concluded.
