As the 2015 election momentum gathers in CRS, sources within government circles have just informed www.calitown.com that the Cross River State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Peter Ojie, is working at holding critical consultations with state governor, Liyel Imoke, prior to his resignation from office, next week Wednesday, to concentrate on pursuing his ambition to be CR’s next governor.

While what may be top on the bill when Ojie sees Imoke is still under wraps, one observer believes the visit will be a veledictory one, to thank Imoke for having given him the opportunity to serve in the capacity he has served, all these years and to formally inform the governor of his decision to step into the gubernatorial race.

Ojie who is from the North of CR, where the ruling PDP has zoned the governorship to, has served in several capacities in government and within the party. His resignation next week Wednesday will finally put to rest, months of guess-work and muffled commentaries regarding his political ambition by a cross-section of political watchers across the length and breath of CRS.
