Ricketts Commends Paramount Ruler Of Biakpan Community

The Commissioner for Information, Chief Akin Ricketts has commended the Paramount Ruler of Biakpan community, Onun Ekpezu Ekpezu especially for the peace he has sustained in his community within the few years.
Chief Ricketts made the commendation when he paid homage to the Paramount Ruler in his palace.
He added that the Paramount Ruler has shown a lot of determination in ruling the people of Biakpan and has observed that only unity and peace can move a community, or state, forward.

Chief Ricketts said the Governor of the State, Senator Liyel Imoke is doing everything possible to ensure all the communities of the State are developed especially Biakpan. In his words he said that the Paramount Ruler should stand as a gap between the people and the Government to bring progress to the land.
Responding the Paramount Ruler, HRH Onun Ekpezu Ekpezu Olumba expressed satisfaction with the visitor and said the Biakpan people have been uplifted in area of infrastructural development.
He said the meeting was a welcome development to him and his people as it would go a long way in sustaining peace among the people of Biakpan.

HRH Ekpezu noted that he does not appreciate violence and urged people to go about their normal duties and appealed to Government to assist in the sustenance of peace by providing adequate security to Biakpan.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Biase Local Government Area, Hon. Enebieni Ana commended the Paramount Ruler for maintaining peace, he urged the people to shun violence and embrace peace to bring development to the area.
In a remark, the Honorable member representing Biase state Constituency, Hon Ngim Okpo appreciated the State Government’s effort in bringing lasting peace to Biakpan Community. He said development and progress is what the people of Biakpan seek from the Government, as he assured that the people would key into Government developmental goals.
