SDP In CR Repositions Ahead Of 2019 Polls

The Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Cross River State says the technical assessment of the party in the three senatorial districts of the state, is an exercise that she will vigorously pursue to ensure that she has accurate information about the party for all to see.

Chairman of SDP in Cross River State, Ikpi Eni Ibor, made this disclosure as he flagged off the exercise in the Central Senatorial District of the state. Primarily he said, “our party is using this exercise to look at our party registers, update our membership enrolment, interface with our members and in the process, promote bonding among party members with the ultimate outcome being the proper political domestication of the SDP in our state.”

In Itigidi, Abi LGA, which was the first port of call, the party chairman enjoined members of the party to see themselves as pioneers of a new political direction, away from the so called established political parties who have unfortunately been unable to deliver democratic dividends to the people. The challenge the SDP has taken up, he maintained, was to reorder the political direction in CRS and guarantee the greater good of the greatest number of Cross Riverians.

He was particular that the SDP has taken up the bold challenge of getting the people to trust and believe in her ability to turn things around, especially with the crop of candidates the party has put forth for next year’s election. “Those we have painstakingly selected have shown long drawn commitment to good governance, overtime, and are better equipped to deliver democratic dividends to the people. We believe in the ability of this party to bring back our state’s glory days and position her for the greatness that is her’s”, he emphasized.

The tour took the chairman to several parts of the Central Senatorial District, where large crowds of party faithfuls received the entourage of the chairman.
