Following a publication in a media platform accusing the Senator representing Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe of turning public procurements into a family business, Jarigbe has offered clarifications as to the contract cited in the publication.
While confirming that the said solar street light project has been duly executed and paid for, the Senator pointed out that he is not a Director in the said company .
He wondered why the publication was more concerned with a project that has been executed rather than asking questions about other projects captured in the Budget since 2023, for Obudu, Bekwarra and Obanliku Federal Constituency where near to nothing has been implemented.
The Senator said his siblings as captured by the publication are Nigerians and therefore have inalienable rights to bid and win projects . The concern should be if those projects are fully executed.
While identifying the source of the publication as being orchestrated by a member of the House of Representatives “who is looking for who to blame for his own misdemeanors”,he cautioned that the said Rep is definitely on a mission of self destruction .
He called on those behind the publication to stop what he described as “the politically motivated spurious allegation”.
Jarigbe restated his commitment to ensuring that he delivers the dividends of democracy to the entire people of Cross River North as his focus, he says is enhancing the welfare and standard of living of his constituents which he has consistently done in his time in office.
