Five young men, late Saturday afternoon, died in a ghastly motor accident on the Mkpani/Ekori (Yakurr LGA) axis of the Calabar/Ikom highway, Cross River State.

Inah Okorn, first son of former House of Representative member, (who represented Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency), Obeten Okorn Obeten, is said to have driven the Toyota Camry sedan which veered off the highway, ran into the bush and crashed into a tree killing him on the spot and the other four occupants of the vehicle; Philip Okoi, Oboh Omini, Bassey Inyang Arikpo and Kekayo Ubana Godwin.

It took sympathizers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps several hours before the deceased occupants were brought out of the terribly damaged vehicle. All five corpses, www.calitown.com can reveal, have been deposited at the General Hospital, Ugep, mortuary.
