Cross River State House of Assembly Speaker, John Gaul Lebo has been honoured with the National Economics Students Association, NESA, iconic award in recognition of his immense contribution to youth development and purposeful leadership as well as his immeasurable support to NESA.

While receiving the award in his office, the Speaker thanked the students’ body for finding him worthy of the honour and charged students to study hard so as to acquire capacity relevant in the competitive labour market. He further advised the students to shun social ills which he said were capable of truncating their future while reminding them that the world was being propelled by the knowledge economy driven by creative and innovative minds who took their studies seriously.

Speaking, the President of NESA, Anthony Bisong commended the Speaker for his youth development passion and kind disposition to students.

Bisong said the NESA iconic award was reserved for deserving Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in leadership, student and youth development, while urging the Speaker not to rest on his oars as the society was in dire need of his kind.
