Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, John Gaul Lebo has congratulated the Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred E. Oyo-Ita on her appointment as the Head of Nigeria’s Civil Service and is seeking closer collaboration between the Cross River State Government and the office of the Head of Service of the Federation.

Lebo who paid a courtesy call on the Head of Service in Abuja, said the visit was part of efforts to harness opportunities for the development of the state adding that the Head of Service was strategically positioned to help the state in her developmental drive.

While eulogising the exceptional qualities of Oyo-ita, the Speaker advised other civil servants of Cross River extraction to emulate the good works of the Head of Service.

He also urged the HOS to remain steadfast and even more committed to serving the country while observing that the Cross River State House of Assembly was proud of her strides and would work closely with her office henceforth.

Responding, the Head of Service of the Federation, commended the Speaker for the visit, pledging to work closely with the Cross River State Government to help her achieve set goals. She vowed to remain a good ambassador of the state, live up to expectation and would not let the state down.

While praising the exemplary leadership style of the Speaker which she observed was partly responsible for the vibrant Cross River State House of Assembly, she further advised the Speaker to lead with the fear of God while ensuring that the wellbeing of the state remained paramount and above any personal interest even as she called on members of the House not to rest in pursuing their commitment to the development of the state.
