“Stand To Do Goodness And Goodness Will Abide With You” – Catholic Bishop Of Ogoja

Posted on December 5, 2021December 5, 2021 By Admin No Comments on “Stand To Do Goodness And Goodness Will Abide With You” – Catholic Bishop Of Ogoja
Bishop Donatus Akpan, Catholic Bishop of Ogoja Diocese.

Donatus Edet Akpan, the Catholic Bishop of Ogoja Diocese, Cross River State has admonished Christians to stand to do goodness so that goodness will abide with them. God he also insisted, gave His son, Jesus, as a clear sign of His goodness something that must not be lost on all true practising Christians.

The new church building.

The bishop who spoke in Ketting, Bendi I, Obanliku LGA of the state, in a homily he delivered as prominent son of Ketting and philanthropist, Peter Akpanke, donated a fully fitted church building, insisted too that when people give, it has to be in good faith. “Indeed, a lot of people can give, but what are their intentions? I am sure the people of Bendi did not go cap in hand begging Peter for this church building, God who gave him the faith to do good works, pointed him to this project and I can assure you all that this will be a wonderful place of worship for God. God is particular about this church building and will wear all of us here the garment of goodness.”

Continuing, “whenever there is a need to be taken care of in your community, go and show your Christian faith there by getting the need done and we must not discriminate.”

To Peter Akpanke and his entire family, the bishop pronounced that, “God will sufficiently bless you as you continue to do good, throughout the days of your life. You have shown that you do not do good only when it is very convenient for you, no, your good to your people must continue to be done every time. These are the parameters that God will use to judge you and all of us.”

Akpanke who had earlier given out ten vehicles to ten selected supporters, exclusively told www.calitown.com that, “God deserves praise in my life and what I have done is bring Him praise with this donation because only He deserves our praise at all times.”
