Hilary Bisong

Hilary Ekpang Bisong, representing Boki II State Constituency in the Cross River House of Assembly, has disassociated himself from a post, trending online that he is favoured by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, political establishment to emerge as Speaker in the next legislative assembly.

Bisong wrote on his Facebook wall that, “I want to state clearly that I’m contesting for the seat of Boki II State Constituency and not for the seat of Speaker. Power comes from God and not man.”

The online post in question, is believed to have rattled the Assemblyman, forcing him into putting out a disclaimer, especially since he has real political bridges to cross in his quest to run for a second term. He even went ahead to say that, post author, Eliman Eliman, “has been one of my critics; getting to read this post from him seems surprising.”

“On behalf of the good people of Boki II, I wish to state clearly that I will continue to do my very best in giving them a better representation”, Bisong concluded.
