Veritas University, a private university, located in Abuja, Nigeria, was founded in March 2002 by the Catholic Church in Nigeria. The university hereby announce existing academic vacancies in the Department of Electrical/Electronic and Computer Engineering, for the following positions:
Professor
Slot: One opening.
Requirements:
PhD in the related field with a minimum of twelve years of experience, and must have been an Associate Professor for at least a period of three years. Registration with COREN is required for this position. Minimum of Google scholar H index of 4 and quality publications, academic leadership as evidence of administrative ability and experience are also required. Additionally, there must be favourable reports on publications and research papers from at least two out of three distinguished External Assessors
Lecturer I
Slot: Four openings.
Requirements:
PhD in the related field with a minimum of three years of experience, and must have been a Lecturer II for at least a period of three years. Registration with COREN is required for this position. Minimum of Google scholar H index of 2 and 5 quality publications in circulation is also required.
Lecturer II
Slot: Two openings
Requirements:
PhD in the related field and must have a minimum of three years of experience as an Assistant Lecturer, registration with COREN is an added advantage. Candidates with Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering are qualified to apply, with at least eight points from publications and should have registered with COREN, if not a PHD holder.
Assistant lecturer
Slot: Two openings
Requirements:
A Master’s degree in the related field; this is an entry level position. A graduate Assistant who has acquired a Master’s degree is suitable for this position.
Technologist:
Slot: Two slots
Requirement:
Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in the related field.
Electrical Technician:
Slot: One slot
Requirements:
Must have at least a National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Technology in the related field.
