The Executive of Akamkpa Local Government chapter of the Young Democratic Party, Cross River State, was yesterday, June 21, 2017, inaugurated with Collins Ntui as chairman.

Onun Endurance, State Publicity Secretary of the party who briefed newsmen after the event said with the inauguration of the chapter, the party now point and show her formal Local Government Executive Council (EXCO)  presence in four Local Government Areas.

“With the successful inauguration of this (Akamkpa) chapter, our dear party now has a working executive council in four Local Government Areas. Meanwhile, almost all the LGAs have teams of Executives ready and awaiting inauguration; Yakurr, Abi, Obubra and Akamkpa chapters have been inaugurated already,” he maintained.

According to the Publicity Secretary, at the pace the party is traveling, there is a clear pointer to the fact that when young people are on course, things are done swiftly, adding that “currently, there is no Local Government Area in the state without a YDP working committee. I can assure you that before the forth coming LG elections, YDP must have finished a substantial part of her political work in Cross River State.

He ended by calling on on Cross River youths to identify with the party, in pursuance of corrective political power that will help better the faltering Nigeria of today.
