CR Assembly Member Distributes Multi- Million Naira Writing Materials To Primary Schools In Yakurr I

Omini and the happy pupils.

Member representing Yakurr I State Constituency, in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Cyril James Omini, put smiles on the faces of children in his constituency when he distributed writing materials worth millions of naira as a personal effort to cushion the effect of the present hard times being experienced by parents and guardians in his constituency.

School pupils in Ugep, Ekori and Idomi communities, that make up Yakurr I State Constituency, were all smiles as the Assembly man personally oversaw the distribution of the materials.

“In today’s world, education is arguably the most critical element in building a nation. The responsibility of nation building essentially lies in the hands of its citizens, predominately the youths”, Omini stated.

He explicitly came clear that the distribution of these materials was his own way of showing concern for a teeming population that overwhelmingly voted him into office and further advised that the children, under the guidance of their parents and guardians, make good use of the materials distributed.

“The idea is to use my Human Empowerment Revitalization Drive Initiative to mentor our youths and encourage them to stay away from social vices that are destructive to their future”, he added.

Omini also paid a courtesy visit on the Obol Lopon of Ekori, Obol Donatus Ibor Ofem and also paid an unscheduled visit to the site of the ongoing construction of Ekori Ultramodern Civil Centre, where he had previously made a huge donation to the project.
