The new Crunchies outlet in Ugep.

Fast-food restaurant chain, Crunchies Fried Chicken Limited, will commission and commence business in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, this Friday, November 7, 2025, www.calitown.com can authoritatively reveal.

The restaurant chain says she will open business in Ijiman, Ugep, on the Calabar/Ikom highway, offering a variety of Nigerian and continental dishes, as well products like fried chicken, shawarma, fresh baked bread and several mouth watering offerings.

Kayode Ogunkoya, Head of Sales and Marketing, Crunches Fried Chicken Ltd, in an exclusive interview with www.calitown.com, informed that it is opening in Ugep because “the town has a population that will patronise us because we will be offering good food in a very neat environment”.

He further disclosed that “the Ugep outlet is the ninth outlet we are opening in Cross River State, something that clearly demonstrates our believe in the Cross River market, something that shows we are committed to this market and the Cross River economy”.

On employment, Ogunkoya revealed that, in the first instance, 50% of those who will work in the Ugep outlet, will be indigenes. “The goal is to start with 50% indigenous hands, bring experienced people from outside to train them before increasing the indigenes percentage under our employ to over 80%. We will train them to effectively communicate our market responsive position and friendly disposition to our customers”.

“Our company is expanding and will add value to the aesthetics of the Ugep community. Crunches is a well known brand, it is a huge investment and the Ugep society and its environs should also encourage this investment”, he concluded.
