Calabar is steadily getting set for the final World Cup qualification game between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Walia Antelopes of Ethiopia. The match billed for the U. J. Esuene stadium this Friday, November 15, 2013, should represent a significant march for the Eagles on the heels of the first leg defeat they handed the Antelopes in Addis Ababa. Security around Calabar has been beefed up and the Eagles Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel camp is off limits as at the time of filing this report.
The Antelopes too are taking no chances and seemed determined to create an upset in Calabar and grab the World Cup ticket both teams are chasing. The team’s practice sessions at the stadium have been closed ones, underlying their desire to keep their tactics for Saturday’s game under lock and key.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that tickets for the State Box Extension will go for N6, 000, covered stand, N4, 000 and the popular stand attracts a fee of N1, 000.
