Hit 95.9FM, CR’s First Private Radio Station Begins Full Operations Jan 18

Posted on January 13, 2016June 30, 2016 By Admin 2 Comments on Hit 95.9FM, CR’s First Private Radio Station Begins Full Operations Jan 18

HIT 95.9 FMDescribed by one resident of Calabar as “the freshest thing to come out of Calabar in recent times”, Hit FM transmitting on 95.9 FM, Cross River State’s first private urban radio station is billed to commence 24 hour broadcast from the 18th of January, 2016, www.calitown.com can authoritatively reveal.

Head of Programmes, Hit FM, McDonald Anyangbe, who spoke exclusively with www.calitown.com informed that after several weeks of test transmission, the station is ready to go live, 24 hours, with an excellent blend of music and talk. A fresh corps of young men and women it was discovered, have been recruited to help deliver on the “Best Music, Best Talk” philosophy of the radio station.

Patrick Ugbe who is driving the whole process is resolute that for the first time in the history of the state, a private radio station to give expression to the yearnings and aspirations of the people has been berthed.

At the station, several On-Air-Personalities, OAPs, were seen putting touches to scripts and programmes as the station readies itself for what will be a first in the CRS broadcast sphere.

I listen to 95.5 FM days back and was asking my friends if they are aware another FM station is playing over the radio in Calabar. This station played some beautiful blend of Plantashun Boys n other oldies music days back. I was left wandering where the mystery FM station was located. My guess had been confirmed… Thanks to calitown.com
