Solomon Esor’s Legal Team Frown At Lies Peddled After Case Against Sandy Onor Was Withdrawn

Posted on May 6, 2019May 7, 2019 By Admin No Comments on Solomon Esor’s Legal Team Frown At Lies Peddled After Case Against Sandy Onor Was Withdrawn

“…at no point in the documents filed by his client did his client state and affirm that, “…he believes on (sic) and accepts the verdict of the outcome of that election”, as stated by Odu”

Solomon Esor

The legal team of Solomon Esor, Social Democratic Party, SDP, Central Senatorial District candidate in the February 2019 polls, are frowning at the misinformation peddled by one Philo Modlin Odu, shortly after the National Assembly and Legislative House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Calabar, at the instance of Esor, struck out Petition No: EPT/CAL/02/2019; case between Solomon Idor Esor, the Social Democratic Party, SDP (Petitioners) AND Sandy Ojang Onor, Independent National Electoral Commission, Resident Electoral Commissioner, Cross River State (Defendants), www.calitown.com can authoritatively report.

Joe Oloko, head of the Esor legal team who spoke exclusively with www.calitown.com, lamented that at no point in the documents filed by his client did his client state and affirm that, “…he believes on (sic) and accepts the verdict of the outcome of that election”, as stated by Odu and causing same to be widely published in several online platforms.

My client clearly stated in the application that, “…he no longer finds it necessary to proceed with this petition as the 1st petitioner and will not be available to state his case before the Tribunal in prove of this petition”. Explaining further, Oloko pointed out that, Esor stated too that, “…he was no longer desirious of continuing with the prosecution of this petition because he wishes to go back to the United States of America in pursuit of his further education and to be with his family and will not be available to prosecute this petition.”

“We have all of this information in court documents and they are available, wherever she got the misinformation she put out is appalling. I am very convinced that this is not how Journalism is practiced and she has cast doubts on her proficiency and I am sure the responsible people she is working with did not send her to misinform the public. We demand a public apology, published in the same online platforms that she used for this misinformation. I have contacted her on Facebook Messenger but she has not responded to offer any explanations”, Oloko insisted.

When www.calitown.com contacted Esor, he confirmed that, “yes I asked my lawyers to withdraw the matter since I will be away from the country this period.”
