AIG Assures On Crime Free CRS

logoCross Riverians have been assured that the Nigeria Police will stop at nothing to ensure that CR state remains the most peaceful and crime free state in the country. Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone six, Calabar, Ahaji Musa A. Daura, gave this assurance while commissioning the Old Netim Divisional Police Station and Water Project built by the community in Akamkpa LGA.

Alhaji Daura who commended the community for embarking on the self- help project, sued for collaboration between the police and the community to fight crime, stressing that, community policing should be created in all the communities to enable it protect lives and property. He also charged other communities in the State to emulate the self help spirit of Old Netim and urged the commumity to sustain their vision and maintain the police station which he described as the best in the state.

Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion and General Manager Crush Rock Industry, Mr. Edwin Ikot, commended the vision and pragmatic leadership of the Village Head of Old Netim, Ntufam Augustine Orok, and reassured them of continuedvsupport and cooperation for the development of the community.

Chairman of Akamkpa Local Government, Mr. Joseph Itotup, present at the ocassion, commended the community for their developmental strides and promised his administration’s readiness to provide other necessary assistance to enhance better welfare of the community and advised them to cultivate a maintenance culture for the good of the community.
