Alex Egbona Issues Press Statement After Tribunal Judgement

Posted on September 5, 2019 By Admin No Comments on Alex Egbona Issues Press Statement After Tribunal Judgement

On the heels of yesterday’s Tribunal judgement, Alex Egbona, asked to vacate the Abi/Yakurr House of Reps seat, has issued a press statement. Please read:

My dear Abi/Yakurr people,

Egbona

You must have been aware that the tribunal this Wednesday evening gave its own judgement which we consider questionable in many respects.

We have been studying the judgement. In the mean time, we have taken appropriate steps in line with the provisions of the law, to announce our rejection of the judgement.

Our lawyers are already doing the the needful in thos direction. We are determined to test the law, vis a vis the conclusions drawn by the judges. That is why there is an appeal court. We are going there to get justice.

I thank you all for the calls and concerns in the last few hours since after judgement was delivered. I can confidently say that the mandate you freely gave to me is intact and will remain so.

May God be with us. For the Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, it is forward ever. God who started the good work will perfect it. So, be strong and of good courage. Do not panic, do not fret. We will always win and it will end in praise.

Thank you for always being there.

Signed

Hon. Alex Egbona, Ph.D
Deputy Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Petroleum.
