Ayade Weilds Big Stick, Lashes Ekureku Ward II PDP Stakeholders

Gov. Ayade

Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade, angered by the submissions made by stakeholders of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekureku I I council Ward, Abi Local Govetnment Area, lashed out at the stakeholders and directed that they be walked out of the venue of his statewide engagement with stakeholders of the party.

The stakeholders had averred that, the PDP’s humiliating electoral loss in the ward was attributable to the level of work APC’s Alex Egbona had done in the area. “Egbona tarred our road and put street lights in Ekureku…” the governor was told, prompting him to immediately rebuke the stakeholders, submitting further that their excuses for the electoral loss showed a complete lack of commitment on the stakeholders part, even after they had received material and financial support.

“The governor concluded that there is a conspiracy between stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and All Progressive Congress, APC, in that Council Ward at the expense of the People’s Democratic Party. You won’t believe that John Gaul Lebo scored just two votes in the ward, while APC’s Alex Egbona scored more than 600 votes. Isn’t that outrageous?”, one source at the meeting asked.

We were reliably informed that Ayade concluded at the meeting that no appointment will be given from that council ward, to serve as a deterrent to party faithful who abuse the trust of the party and seemingly conspire to the detriment of the party.
